Today U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth sentenced 45–year-old Lebanese–born Wissam “Sam” Allouche to five years in federal prison for knowingly lying to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services officers on his U.S. citizenship petition about his relationship with the Amal militia.

USCIS Partners with City of Atlanta to Support Citizenship Education and Awareness

ATLANTA – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director León Rodríguez and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed signed a letter of agreement (PDF, 135.71 KB) today to begin a partnership to strengthen citizenship education and awareness efforts. The agreement will remain in effect until December 2017.
