The Outstanding American by Choice initiative highlights the importance of citizenship rights and responsibilities through recognition of the outstanding achievements of naturalized U.S. citizens. Individuals who were scheduled to be naturalized at citizenship ceremonies in San Diego and Chula Vistaon October 24, 2007, have had their ceremonies rescheduled for Wednesday, November 14. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) automatically rescheduled citizenship ceremonies due to the massive Southern California fires at the end of October, and sent notices to citizenship candidates for tomorrow’s ceremony.

In light of the recent natural catastrophes in Chile, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reminds Chileans of U.S. immigration benefits available to eligible Chilean nationals upon request.
