Certain Israeli nationals who are lawfully present in the United States will soon be able to request a change of status to the E-2 treaty investor classification

USCIS is issuing policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual to clarify that violations of federal controlled substance law, including violations involving marijuana, are generally a bar to establishing good moral character for naturalization, even where that conduct would not be an offense under state law.

USCIS published a Federal Register notice (PDF) to invite public comments on our proposed extension of Form I-9 before it expires on Aug. 31. The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires a 60-day and a 30-day comment period for this Form I-9 extension. The first 60-day comment period will be open until April 30.
