WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reminds eligible widow(er)s that October 28, 2011 is the deadline for filing a Form I-360 visa petition.If you are the widow(er) of a U.S. citizen who died before October 28, 2009 you may be eligible to immigrate to the United States if:
IntroductionU.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is implementing the first phase in a series of proposed enhancements to the EB-5 program. Beginning today, Form I-924 applicants will be able to communicate directly with USCIS adjudicators via email in an effort to streamline the process and quickly raise and resolve issues and questions that arise during the adjudication process.
On June 29, 2011, the USCIS Office of Public Engagement invited interested parties to participate in a quarterly national stakeholder meeting. The purpose of this engagement was for individual participants to raise issues regarding agency operations and to aid the agency in identifying systemic issues.

In February 2011, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began issuing employment and advance parole authorization on a single card for certain applicants filing an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485.
In recent weeks, USCIS has received a large number of applications prepared by an online business that charges users to complete their USCIS forms. In most cases, the charge for preparing an application is the same as the USCIS filing fee. When applicants pay these businesses online using an electronic check, the applicant is only paying for the service provided to prepare the application, and not the actual USCIS filing fee. As a result, applicants are attaching a copy of a cashed electronic check when mailing their applications to USCIS.
USCIS and EOIR invite interested parties to participate in a stakeholder meeting on Monday, September 19th at 2:00pm (EDT) regarding the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) asylum clock.
